Refund Policy

We believe in clean code, polite web crawling, and fair billing. If Steterly isn't the right fit for your workflow, we want to make it right.

1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not entirely satisfied with Steterly within your first 14 days of subscribing to any standard recurring plan (Personal, Studio, or Agency), we will issue a full refund of your subscription fee.

There are no hidden traps, complex forms, or high-pressure retention scripts. We simply ask for your honest feedback so that we can improve the auditing crawler for other developers and web managers.

2. Fair-Use & Quota Safeguards

To prevent systemic platform exploitation, our 14-day guarantee is subject to reasonable fair-use thresholds. We cannot offer full refunds if:

  • Your active teams have audited and proofread more than 1,000 unique pages during your initial trial period.
  • Your team has run high-volume, automated site sweeps that heavily consumed external LLM resources.

In these specific cases, Steterly may offer a partial refund or platform credit reflecting your actual usage, minus the variable service costs incurred.

3. Metered Extra Scan Credits

On-demand extra proofreading scans ($3 per scan on Personal, $2 per scan on Studio, $1 per scan on Agency, $99 per scan on Trial) are executed instantly using high-throughput AI spelling and grammar drivers. Once an extra scan has run, the variable server cost is consumed instantly, and the charge is non-refundable.

However, if you purchase a bundle of extra scan credits in advance and decide not to use them, you can request a full refund for any unused pre-purchased credits within 14 days of purchase.

4. Cancellations & Billing Cycle Terms

You may cancel your Steterly subscription at any time directly through your account billing panel. Upon cancellation, your plan will remain fully active with all scan limits and dashboard features available until the end of your paid billing period.

We do not offer pro-rated refunds or billing credits for mid-cycle cancellations of monthly plans. If you are on an annual plan and decide to cancel, please contact support to discuss pro-rated credit or refund options.

5. Disputes, Chargebacks, & Accidental Billing

In the event of double billing, gateway processing errors, or unrecognized charges, please contact our support team immediately before initiating a formal bank chargeback or dispute.

Initiating a bank dispute slows down processing times considerably (often taking up to 90 days for banks to resolve) and may lead to automatic temporary suspension of your developer dashboard. We resolve all billing errors and issue legitimate refunds directly within 2 business days.

6. Policy Violations & Disqualification

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Acceptable Use policies (such as scanning websites without permission, attempting to bypass crawler limits, or executing denial-of-service maneuvers).

Accounts terminated or suspended due to violations of our Terms of Service forfeit all active subscriptions and are strictly disqualified from receiving refunds.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under the 14-day money-back guarantee, or to ask a general question about your team billings, please send a note to hello@steterly.com.

For secure account validation, you must send the email from the address registered to your active Steterly account. Please include your Stripe invoice number or payment reference if available. Legitimate refunds are credited back to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.
